The CYPRES 2 is small, lightweight, simple to operate and extremely accurate. Due to its sophisticated features it is the first choice for thousands of skydivers today. The CYPRES 2 Expert 1 Pin unit requires only one switch-on procedure per day done prior to the first jump of the day. Only if you leave the dropzone, (or jump inot another dropzone) should you repeat this procedure before the next jump. That's it! No switch-off is necessary at the end of the day. Any changes in air pressure caused by weather are taken care of automatically. The CYPRES 2 unit is water-resistant up to 15 minutes at a depth of 5 metres in both fresh and salt water. The power supply is maintenance-free for the user, no battery replacement is necessary between manufacturer maintenance. Unit serial number and next maintenance due date accessible from the display. The CYPRES 2 Student unit is specifically designed for the unique needs of students. It will activate at freefall speeds at approximately 750 ft. AGL (225 m), like the expert model, but is also programmed to activate at approximately 1000 ft AGL (300 m) if a descent rate over 29 mph (13 m/sec) is detected. This is designed to help account for students descending under partially-malfunctioned mains. Water-resistant up to 15 minutes at a depth of 5 metres in both fresh and salt water. The CYPRES 2 Tandem unit activates at descent rates over 78 mph (35 m/sec), but will do so at approximately 1900 ft. AGL (580 m), to help compensate for the special characteristics of tandem jumps and equipment. Water-resistant up to 15 minutes at a depth of 5 metres in both fresh and salt water. CYPRES battery pack comes complete with two batteries for replacement in the CYPRES unit. CYPRES batteries must be replaced every 2 years or 500 jumps (whichever comes first). Instructions included.

CYPRES manufacturers maintenance is required 4 years after production and 8 years after production. Wear and tear of a unit has to be controlled which is the need for a maintenance program. CYPRES unit maintenance is a fixed price, no matter what work is required.  See option to include new battery.
